How to breathe through every stage of labor, so your body already knows what to do before the first real contraction ever hits.
Send Me the Free GuideThis isn't a generic labor overview. It's the exact breath shift for each stage of labor, from early contractions through pushing, plus the mindset piece that makes the physical part actually work.
"I'm a mom of six who loves doing things naturally wherever and whenever possible. And despite my first birth experience, I love giving birth."
With my first baby, I wanted a natural birth. I just didn't know how to prepare for one. I thought I could wing it.
My son was 10 pounds 7 ounces. That labor ended in an epidural that made me sick, and a second degree tear I wasn't prepared for either. I told myself there had to be a better way.
So through my next five births, I found it. I discovered specific breathing patterns that let me work with my labor instead of fighting it. I was fully present, fully relaxed, and I could tell exactly what stage of labor I was in just by paying attention to my own breath.
By my sixth birth, I'd gotten so good at this that something wild happened. The room was completely quiet, aside from my husband lightly snoring on the couch beside me. I was that relaxed. Then I activated something called the fetal ejection reflex. My son, 9 pounds 8 ounces, was born in a single contraction. I didn't push once. I had to wake my husband mid contraction to catch him. The midwife and nurse both missed the birth entirely.
That's not luck. That's what happens when your body knows exactly what to do and nothing is standing in its way. Now I teach this method to other moms so they don't have to go through six births to find what I found.
